Volunteer Day 1

The first day of the volunteer work was very important; as introduced myself to the employees.  I was a bit confused and nervous of the employee’s opinions or the way that they will act, they may be rude or impolite, but I decided to overcome my fears and weakness by talking the positive side of the idea so I can gain information and knowledge from this experience, I started to communicate with them as I can learn what shall I do, how and where. It was a challenge experience even that I had some difficulties but I gained good relationship skills.

As the picture above I was supporting the kids in some puzzles games, as they are special needed we should support them and give them the opportunity to show their skills and never afraid from doing mistakes. 

I taught the teenagers special needed how to differentiate between the Solid,

Gas and liquid and gave them the confidence to show their knowledge and

taught them that they can do everything and being a special needed person

never be a barrier to achieve the goals, and we will support them always.

I went to the PE class and we played basketball, I show them that everyone can

be skilled and nothing can stop them from achieving their goals.

Finally I overcome my weakness by doing the tasks provided to me.

Purpose / what do you wish to accomplish?
Ex: this project will help the students of Al Hosan School to develop their IT skills

• This project is aimed to help special needs and disabled people to integrate with the society and help them maintain healthy and happy life.  

Time/ schedule: students will volunteer for how many hours / week? Days?   

• 4 hours (8:30am ~ 12:30pm) every Tuesday for 5 weeks. 

To be successful what need to be done?

Ex: In the end, students must be able to type 20wpm English typing. 

• The students must be fast and efficient in carrying out day to day tasks and procedures that are required for the organization.

What are the Benefits to the participants? (Both volunteers and recipients) 

• Volunteers: learning new skills in how to help people with special needs and learn how to appreciate this people.
• Recipients: cost effective and they get their required help and will help them building relationship and confidents around people.
