Volunteering Day 5

Fortunately, this morning was cloudy,  that was my motivation start. I started my day with a hidden planes. This day will be the last day but not the last help.

To begin, I started to help Mohammed in rolling the papers to make sticks. We enjoyed going through that, while making them , i told him the purpose of recycling papers, to save the environment from pollution  by creating great things. He wasn't know that, and i was happy to tell him new thing.

And here, Ahmed asked me to come and see the tower. I  followed him wherever he goes, i was interested to see sections of a tower i have never been their before. I liked the way of the tower design. And i liked the confidence of his speech. 

Unfortunately, it was the last day for me to meet these smart friends and am so glad to have this chance. I have dreamed before to help this people by any chance position. My best regards to the center staff and for every single moment i spent it with them.

As an opening of new shiny  day, i went with a wight smile to encourage everyone there. After having my coffee , my mind started refreshing itself and decided to start a real hopeful day with my new smart friends. I started wishing to be a happy day and full of help and energy.

To start, letting the special needs do  exercise at morning before they start learning or doing something else, would improve their mind and body growth. Furthermore, doing some sports would keep them full of energy and strange. Especially this generation ( what they're in) is the most generation that loves sports and challenging. That's why we played football and some other sports.

Here, I decided to keep their minds growing on by solving a puzzle. The solver was fast and smart. I helped him by closing the solution for him, and what I amazed by! Was his fast response. We enjoyed spending our time in solving a puzzle rather than just setting and learning written things. In this puzzle there is a lesson, that we have to solve our problems by being patient and think hardly to find the way we supposed to be in.

To conclude, we ended our day with funny conversations and it was a great time with their innocent stories and positions. I hope i did my best!

Volunteering day 3

Starting new day was starting fresh morning with special needs. Happily I wanted to do my all efforts to help this for this morning, i was Involuntary excited to start a new helpful day . Because being surrounded by these people, would change my day into happiest day ever.     

Firstly, I started to teach some of them english reading , to improve their  reading skills in English language. I have the honor to teach them something i have got the knowledge of. Once I started, i felt that helping people doesn't limited in Financial assistance, but in knowledge and experience too.

And here , we moved to the reading questions, actually  they were acute and quick-witted. I believed on their capacity in every single part of life, education...etc . They have lost something but they have been compensated by other things, creativity, smartness, fast-understanding. 

By finishing from papers i started to teach them how to type via computer. Their ability in typing was  mostly good. And similar to any normal one. They were helpful , and they took everything as easy as possible. Being around them kept my mood better while the day, i have never spent a day with this acute people. Honestly they weren't too fast , but according their situation it was perfect.

Eventually, it was successful day for me and them, i learned lot of Things as well as them. And am so wonder about their unexpected  smartness. Believing on them would help their personality improvement.

Final Community Service Self-Reflection.

                Final Community Service Self-Reflection.

1.    I have been volunteering on the Future Center Of Special Needs, they take the special needs people from all nationalities and help them to study and to improve their skills, also they are trying to put them with the community by finding them a job.

2.    Contribute in an organization that helps the special needs to live a better life with improving their skills and apply them in the center. I contributed in various ways such as organizing sport and fun activities for the special needed students, did some planning activities, painted in the walls with the students and organized music, arts and sports workshops for the student, I was telling them that everyone has the ability to do everything with a concept of  “I can do it”.

3.    As a volunteer on the Future center I am so glad to get a chance like this to stand by the special needs people side. Furthermore, I have gained many experiences of helping people in different ways and situations. Being one of center worker kept me feel that am supporting the society or generally the community. This period of volunteering, had improved my skills in the way of dealing with special needs people and how to do that. Gradually, I learned some points, which I deducted them by some actions. Naturally, I have been stuck with some tough moments and I didn't know how to deal with them through the time. But I did, after learning by my mistakes.

4.    Learning new strategies and methods to keep going through them, helped me to improve my thoughts and forestations about special needs people. Most importantly, I have got these things happily, and am sure that I will use them perfectly  in my life. The way I learned to deal with special needs people, I will apply it with everyone one not too close to me, disabled and sick person. I loved the deal that doesn't depend on their personality or significations. Especially what impacted on me was the polyglot boy who speaks 5 different languages. I believe on their talents and high-abilities, because that what really I won't forget about them.

Date: 12^th May 2015

8:30am - 1:30pm

The second day of the volunteering was normal, however when I entered the class I saw the big smile on their face I was shocked about their reaction when they saw me, I didn’t expect this reaction, and they start asking me about my previous week and my studies and how did I spent my weekend, they was happy that’s I am back to visit and help them.

I helped one of the students with the alphabet worksheet, and it was about some words start with the letter “B”.

And also helped a student who faced a problem writing 4 sentences about what he sees in the picture.

Also helped one of the smart student with his math worksheet and it was about Multiply and Divide.

Finally, the teacher asked me to talk with the student about Ramadan, and we start chatting about it, they were sad because they will attend the center until the half of Ramadan, and I start cheer them up, however they promised me that they will fast the whole month.
